[Solar System 332B: Assault Fleet Volairis]
Admiral Drastir chuckled, his new orders were glorious, and would bring his family name honor. His armada would soon be the conquerer of an entire solar system. They were fortunate, as only one planet had intelligent life, and they lacked the ability to sense his fleet from the neighboring Alpha Centauri system. He opened fleet-wide comms, “Listen up you fortunate fools! You have been chosen! For today we declare war on the humans, and their primitive, backwater world. The superiority of our technology will ensure a swift victory, and another solar system will be claimed by Volairis!”
He then turned to find Tilva seated on the bridge, “Tilva, you have the honor of leading our ground assault. We will fire rail cannons at their defenses to soften your priority targets, and provide air support should the humans have any in atmosphere flight. Ready the ground teams and report back with a readiness ETA. We will jump to L3 of the human’s cradle world and their sun as soon as we are supplied. Early intelligence reports indicate that our fleet’s presence will be hidden behind their star.”
“Yes Admiral” she stood and turned on her heel, heading for the staging area.
[SOL 0: Volairis Prepares Jump to SP3L3]
“Admiral Drastir to all ships, begin jump preparations, flag ship destination SP3L3 Support vessels to P5M1, human designation: Ganymede. I want all remaining war ships in the asteroid belt between P4 and P5, use the larger asteroids to hide your presence.” Admiral Drastir pulled up the fleet logistics screen, searching for any potential stragglers, before contacting Tilva, “I want a scouting vessel sent ahead.”
“Understood Admiral. I assume that you will want a recon team on the surface too. Send Rak’st, his team is effective in covert ops and he is a quick thinker.”
“Sounds like an excellent choice, how soon can they leave for SP3L1?”
“Immediately, Rak’st is standing next to me, Rak’st, did you catch that?”
“Yes, I’ll have my crew ready within one cycle.”
